As you might have already read, the Ida (Feminine/Moon) Nadi encounters the Pingala (Masculin/Sun) Nadi, over the central Susumna Nadi, 6 times into the Spiritual Body.
Each time these 3 Nadis meet, a Chakra is generated. Therefore there are 6 chakras in the energetic body and a 7th one above the head. The last chakra is only reached by Susumna.
Each Chakra can be activated or enhanced separately through different exercises and therefore can be unevenly balanced.
A Chakra can be consider as a wheel, or a spinning vortex, distributing the energy across the body.
From down to up:
Muladhara = Root Chakra, base of the spine - Red - Emotional stability, harmony between body and mind and our connection with nature and earth
Swadhisthana = Sacral Chakra, lower abdomen - Orange - Pleasure, Sense of abundance, joy of life, well-being, creativity and a good sexuality
Manipula = Solar Plexus Chakra, upper abdomen - Yellow - Self esteem, self-confidence, self-worth, personality, good relationship and goodwill
Anahata = Heart Chakra, centre of the chest - Green - Love, compassion, forgiveness, tenderness, it’s the chakra of feelings
Vishudda = Throat Chakra, throat - Blue - Communication and creativity; The ability to express ourselves, our personality and attitude
Anja = Third Eye Chakra - Middle of the forehead - Indigo - Rationality, life purpose planning, ability to analyze, wisdom and imagination
Sahasrara = Crown Chakra - Above The head - White and purple - To be in contact with the spiritual dimension, to open up to the Divine, sense of bliss and self realization.
Chakra are great for personal development. Triggering a specific chakra will bring focus and awareness of the physical location, but also mental/emotional association and energetic/spiritual benefits.
