Daily Practice

As a future yoga teacher, we are expected to have a daily yoga practice. The practice is to done alone and at least done 6 days a week.
As teaching is not practice, creating a personal yoga routine ensures that new teachers don’t lost their own yoga journey.
Few weeks before the start of my YTT, I’ve started a daily practice. Concretely I turn my alarm 30 minutes earlier (6AM), light a candle and a soft light and roll my yoga mat. Depending on the day, I stay between 10 to 30mn.
To be honest, even though I’m being flexible with my daily practice (sometimes I just sit and breath), I find it difficult to commit. There are mornings, especially after a night out, where I just can’t do it.
Our minds are constantly disrupted by both external expectations and internal desires. Listening to yourself is key. Being too strict will not help. Do your best to reach you goals and it will pay off. There is no need to rush!
